Message	My car did the same thing after I had a radiator hose give out. After I replaced it, the temp was all over the place, and I just kept burping it every day untill it stopped . Try to get the car "nose up" if you can. And yes, a car will run measurably cooler with straight water, but water wetter offers no freeze protection in the winter.
